Mason High School Theater Presents Hilarious Chaos with “The Play That Goes Wrong, High School Edition”
MASON, OH– Prepare for an evening of side-splitting laughter as the Mason High School Theater proudly presents its fall production, The Play That Goes Wrong, High School Edition. This critically acclaimed comedy, adapted for high school performers, promises an unforgettable theatrical experience that will leave audiences roaring with delight.
The Play That Goes Wrong introduces the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society, an amateur theater troupe attempting to stage a 1920s murder mystery. However, as the title suggests, everything that can go wrong, does go wrong – and then some! From collapsing sets and missed cues to forgotten lines and actors stuck in secret passages, this uproarious play is a masterclass in comedic timing and physical humor.
“We are incredibly excited to bring The Play That Goes Wrong to the Mason High School stage,” says Director Allen Young. “Our talented students have been working tirelessly to perfect the intricate comedic elements and hilarious mishaps that make this show so special. Audiences are in for a truly wild ride!”
This madcap comedy is rated PG for some mild adult language, adult situations, and actor peril. It is perfect for all but the youngest of audience members. Come witness the hilarity as these determined (yet perpetually unlucky) actors try their best to hold it all together, with increasingly disastrous and sidesplitting results.

All performances will be held at the Mason High School’s intimate Studio Theater.
