THE PLANO HOUSE OF COMEDY:Angelia Walker
Even though she won the very first comedy contest she has ever entered, Angelia Walker’s road to local and national stages took lots of hilarious twists and turns. As a single mom of three, and growing up one of 15 children, her one-of-a-kind, natural story-telling ability is always on display. After gaining a coveted spot at Dallas’s famed Fat Tuesday, Angelia earned the nod from its host, legendary comedian Nanette Lee. Before long Angelia had the reputation for being fearlessly funny and a favorite of fans and fellow comics. Whether billed as an opening act or headliner, she continues to work hard to elevate her craft.
Angelia has worked with many top performers including Kat Williams, Michael Rapaport, Robert Powell, Nicole Byer, Guy Torry, Tommy Davidson and Mark Curry, as well as many rising comedians. She has appeared in the New York Comedy Festival, Plano Comedy Festival, and was a finalist in the Funniest Comic in Texas and Texas Funniest Person.
