The Palestinian Holocaust: Art Against Erasure + Artist Talk

The Palestinian Holocaust: Art Against Erasure A Group Exhibition at Gallery 874 Confronting Erasure, Silence, and the Destruction of Palestinian Life St. Louis, MO – The Mousa Art Initiative through Gallery 874 presents The Palestinian Holocaust: Art Against Erasure, a powerful and unapologetic group exhibition addressing the ongoing Palestinian Holocaust and the systematic destruction of Palestinian life, culture, and future—particularly in Gaza. On view March 13 through May 12, 2026, this exhibition brings together artists working in visual media whose work bears witness to displacement, loss, resilience, and resistance. While many museums, galleries, and nonprofit arts institutions remain silent, this exhibition takes a clear stance. It is an act of moral clarity. It is an act of witness. It is an act of resistance to institutional silence. Through painting, mixed media, installation, and other visual forms, participating artists confront themes of erasure, memory, survival, and the urgent need to preserve truth through creative expression. The exhibition provides a public space for dialogue in a time when cultural institutions often avoid politically charged realities. Opening Events Opening Reception I Friday, March 20, 2026 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Opening Reception II & Artist Talk Saturday, March 21, 2026 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Artist Talk at 4:30 p.m. Guest Artist: Nabil Mousa Artist and Founder, Mousa Art Initiative Both events are free and open to the public. About the Exhibition The Palestinian Holocaust: Art Against Erasure is a curated group exhibition featuring existing works that directly engage with the exhibition’s theme. Artists were selected based on the relevance of their work and the clarity and strength of their artistic voice. The exhibition is organized and sponsored by the Mousa Art Initiative through Gallery 874, an artist-driven organization based in St. Louis committed to creating space for truth, resistance, and community-centered artistic expression. At its core, this exhibition affirms that art is not neutral in moments of humanitarian crisis. Art remembers. Art records. Art resists erasure.
