Between 1780 and 1820, the Pacific Ocean was a bustling center of trade and cultural exchange. With the Pacific Northwest and Spanish California on one side, Japan and China on the other and Hawaii in the middle, join us to learn how the Northwest wasn't just a distant corner of America, but a vibrant part of the crossroads of the world.
Sean Munger has a Ph.D. in American environmental history from the University of Oregon and has lectured, published non-fiction and novels, and taught history for 18 years. He is known for his deep-dive historical presentations on YouTube. A former attorney, Dr. Munger now teaches history online and in person with students of all ages.
