We all know his name, but what do we know about his life? Join us for this presentation by Naturalist Carol Mundy, where we will look at how nature inspired Van Gogh’s art and discuss some of his unpleasant connections to the earth, such as his exposure to naturally occurring elements, minerals and botanicals that affected his physical and mental health.
Carol Mundy is an award-winning speaker and Naturalist, who served Hamilton County Park District in Cincinnati for 30 years. The ‘Resident Naturalist’ on the Denny McKeown’s Gardening longtime radio program on 55 WKRC and WGRR 103.5FM, she now hosts a weekly radio program on WMKV 89.3FM in Cincinnati about unusual aspects of nature, science and culture. Carol taught at the University of Cincinnati’s Horticulture Degree program for a decade and has consulted on numerous local landscaping projects, including Spring Grove Cemetery, The Children’s Home of Cincinnati, The Rain Garden Alliance of Greater Cincinnati, and more.
