Everyone's favorite two-dimensional hero has a new life in “The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley JR” at the Racine Children's Theatre Friday, November 14 - Sunday, November 16, 2025. Based on the best-selling book series, Stanley folds his way around the world with his flat-tastic hijinks. Stanley Lambchop is your ordinary, everyday ten-year-old until the bulletin board on the wall above his bed comes loose and falls right on top of him. The next morning, Stanley wakes up flat. In a whirlwind musical travelogue, Stanley — the ultimate exchange student — scours the globe for a solution to his unusual problem. He’s stamped, posted and cancelled from Hollywood and France to Honolulu and beyond, all in an effort to become a three-dimensional boy once more. Show Dates and Times: • Friday, November 14 at 6:00 p.m. • Saturday, November 15 at 12:00, 2:00, & 4:00 p.m. • Sunday, November 16 at 12:00, 2:00, & 4:00 p.m. Based on the book “Flat Stanley” by Jeff Brown, the musical's book is by Timothy A. McDonald, lyrics by Timothy A. McDonald, Jonathan K. Walker, music by David Weinstein, Jonathan K. Walker, Timothy A. McDonald, and Stephen Gabriel with special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). Performed by Gilmore Fine Arts students and sponsored by SC Johnson, Packy, the RCT friendly elephant mascot, will greet the audience at the performance. RCT shows are just over an hour in length, filled with imaginative fun, playful and interactive, and creatively engaging, making them great ways to introduce children to theatre and the arts, while creating new memories. Tickets are just $7 each for children and adults. Seating is general admission and shows are recommended for ages 4 and above.
