The Melting Pot is pay-as-you-wish, turning no one away. Attendance and support of the series not only goes towards helping preserve this historic building and treasure of the Hudson community, but also invigorates the artistic landscape of Hudson and beyond.
With some of the finest natural acoustics in the area, and a flexible, stunning space, FPC is aptly placed to house exhilarating live music and performance, further situating itself as a staple community gathering place and house for arts.
Alexander Turnquist
Alexander Turnquist is a Kingston, NY, based multi-instrumentalist and composer widely known for using his 12-string acoustic finger-style approach to create dramatic, emotionally engaging music and dreamlike harmonies out of everyday moments. Uncut magazine described his playing as “masterful. His right-hand technique is as orchestral as Nick Drake’s, sending rivulets of steel sadness out across the water, but applied to a minimalist logic with the weight of early Philip Glass or Steve Reich.”
