The Magic of Motown
The Magic of Motown will make it debut at The Meyer Theatre in Green Bay on Friday, January 31 at 7:30pm.
The show, in its third year of touring, is a high energy homage to the legends of Motown.
Featuring a cast of 18 power-house vocalists, the show takes audiences on a musical journey through the history of Motown Records. Founded in 1959 by former auto worker Barry Gordy of Detroit, the label is known for producing one of the most beloved songbooks of the 20th century.
The two-hour long show with a brief intermission showcases Gordy's most popular artists among them Diana Ross, Tammy Terrell, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and Smokey Robinson. Entire sets are also dedicated to Motown's beloved super groups; The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Supremes, Martha and The Vandellas, and The Jackson Five.
