The Living Room Story-time for Grown-ups
Six true to life stories for mature audiences tell true to life stories about love, sex, health, death and spiritual transformation every first Saturday beginning at 7:00 pm. Live music is included that accompanies the stories.
The monthly subjects vary and they are often inspired by the storyteller’s lives. The themes are purposefully broad so that the storytellers can enjoy them as prompts to help them create their story for presentation.
The event is hosted by Amparo Garcia-Crow. Amparo is a former teaching artist professor at UT and ACC, is also an actor, director, writer and songwriter. She combines that background to also help each other storytellers to develop their stories.
The performance takes place at Unity of Austin, 5501 West Highway 290 Austin TX 78735. 15.00 cover at the door.
Amparo also offers free monthly workshops at Twin Oaks Library to teach participants “how" to craft their stories.
