The Living Room Story-time for Grown-ups
Six life stories for mature audiences tell true experiences about love, sex, health, death and spiritual transformation every first Saturday beginning at 7:00 pm. Themes vary monthly. For March the theme is THE LIFE THAT SCRIBES, which invites local authors to share about how their lives inform their published narratives. Besides the authors speaking in March, an additional five authors will be on hand with their books to meet and greet the audience. Those authors will return in May to tell their stories. Other upcoming themes include the April theme: THE LIFE THAT HEALS (featuring local healing practitioners from the medical and wholistic communities with stories about what life events lead to their life callings). The theme for May is: The "Not Me, Not I and Not Myself" stories in which the local authors who will also participate in the book fair in March return to tell about how unexpected circumstances lead to the books they authored. Live music is included that accompanies the stories. The monthly story event is hosted by Amparo Garcia-Crow at Unity of Austin, 5501 West Highway 290 Austin TX 78735. 10.00 cover at the door.
