The KEITH, MELISSA and TOM SHOW, a humor-filled, quirky and sometimes serious look at the work of lesbian and gay composers, takes the stage at “Willie Way Cabaret,” at the William Way LGBT Community Center, 1315 Spruce Street, Philadelphia, on Friday, January 16, with performances at 7 and 9 PM. Tickets are $15 at www.TomWilsonWeinberg.com or www.waygay.org or by calling 215-847-2820. This is the third in a series of popular cabaret shows produced by David Perkiss and benefiting the William Way LGBT Community Center. 20% of all ticket sales will support the Center's library. Get your tickets now as audiences have grown for each of these shows. Keith Kaczorowski, Melissa Kolczynski and Tom Wilson Weinberg bring their special musical styles to the work of Cole Porter, Leonard Bernstein, Laura Nyro, Meg Christian, Cris Williamson, Stephen Sondheim, Lesley Gore, Noel Coward, Ned Rorem, Billy Strayhorn, Gian Carlo Menotti and Weinberg, who will be in his customary place at the piano. Keith and Melissa were both featured in Weinberg's “Sixty Years With Bruhs and Gean.” Keith, a member of The Philadelphia Gay Men's Chorus, has appeared with Tom in two additional shows, “The Keith and Tom Show” and “Foot Locker” for Philly Fringe 2008. Audiences know Melissa for her tour de force appearance in Tom's “The Teachings of Chairman Rick” and her one-woman show “Round Midnight” for Philly Fringe. She has also appeared with Peter Nero and the Philly Pops and most recently was seen in the Arden Theatre's “Candide.” Perkiss and company transform the Mark Segal Ballroom at William Way into an intimate cabaret, with candle-lit table seating, inexpensive wine and free refreshments. This is the community's first major event of 2009 and includes a tribute to our president-elect who takes office four days later. Join us for a show you can believe in.
