The Jewel is in the Lotus: An Exploration of Padmasana

Padmasana, the Lotus Pose, is frequently regarded as one of the most daunting yet iconic yoga postures. We often encounter images of ancient yogis, everyday individuals, and even cats (!) effortlessly taking this meditative shape. But still, it often feels so far out of reach. Join us for an enlightening workshop to delve into the symbolism and significance of this beautiful and challenging posture. Throughout the session, we'll explore the anatomy of the pose and a myriad of ways to prepare our bodies to explore even just its potential. We will emphasize patience and mindful technique while exploring variations of the posture as well. We’ll then conclude the experience by reaping the benefits of meditation from Padmasana—or a related posture—before closing in Savasana and integrating all that has come before.
