The J House Greenwich Presents: Sholeh Janati Art Show
Join us on August 6th in the J Gallery for our Sholeh Janati Art Show!
Tickets are $15.00 per person, and includes one glass of wine and passed hors d’oeurves. A portion of our proceeds will be donated to the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital.
About the Artist:
Sholeh Janati is a renowned Persian-American artist whose abstractions of landscapes, waterscapes, and figuratives that critics have compared to the works of post-war abstractionist painters such as Chagall, Kandinsky, Hofmann and Frankenthaler. Her technique involves a spontaneous approach, typically working in her Westport, Connecticut studio on two or three canvases at a time. A Janati painting invariably features a broad-stroke brush style; layered textures reflecting an enhanced field of depth; and a spatial illusion achieved through the “push and pull” of dreamlike colors, shapes and placement. In addition to the large interactive pieces for which she is renown, Sholeh also creates smaller, more affordable collectables on a biannual basis. Such works-on-paper include the highly-popular Goldfish and Juicy Lips series.
