The History of Mystery
The History of Mystery - This is definitely not your typical magic show! During the performance the audience will not only hear about magic and magicians from the past but they will see antiquarian magic recreated and performed. Many of the pieces of magic apparatus used in the performance are rare antiques from Mike’s personal collection. The historical facts and tidbits about magic’s past make the show fascinating and the performance of the magic makes the show engaging and fun.
Mike Rose is not just a seasoned professional comedian and magician but he is also a magic historian and award-winning author (Mike’s book, Joe Karson – Beyond Zombie – a biography of the nearly forgotten yet highly influential magician from the early 20th century received the “Library Special Award” from the Book Award Committee of the Society of American Magicians Hall of Fame and Magic Museum). Mike has combined his love of performing with his passion for magic history in creating this new show.
