The Hammer and The Hatchett at the Indy Folk Series
Born and raised Hoosiers, John Bowyer and Jayme Hood have spent the past decade crafting heartfelt Midwestern Roots Music as The Hammer and The Hatchet. Their songs draw deeply from rural life, shared experience, and the easy chemistry that first sparked when Jayme harmonized with John at a jam session. With rich harmonies, true‐to‐life storytelling, and masterful guitar and mandolin work, they deliver an evening of music that feels both familiar and unforgettable.

INDY FOLK SERIES is an all-ages listening room venue featuring superb acoustics, art on the walls, and a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Light snacks and drinks are available. Concerts are held once a month, September – May, in the performance space at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Indianapolis.
Doors to the lobby open to the public at 6:15 p.m. Concert begins at 7:00pm
