The Contemporary Eye: An Art Talk with Peter Frank and Molly Barnes
Join MASH Gallery for an artist talk exploring the ideas, materials, and instincts behind By Hand & By Heart, a group exhibition bringing together eight artists: Tina Bluefield, Anthony Liggins, Christy Hopkins, Diane Holland, Thomas Piekunka, Aaron Sheppard, Belén Senra, and Haleh Mashian.
The conversation will be moderated by art critic and curator Peter Frank, known for his work with the Guggenheim Museum and the Venice Biennale, alongside longtime Los Angeles gallerist and collector Molly Barnes, who has shaped the city's art scene since opening her first gallery on La Cienega in 1967. Together they'll lead a candid discussion with the artists about process, intuition, and what it means to make contemporary art today.
