The US Surgeon General’s dramatic report on the incidence of loneliness on the American people stated 1 in 3 people are lonely.
Just a short conversation can be most helpful to people struggling with loneliness. Connectors can help by:
• Identifying individuals they know through their religious congregations, school, and the workplace.
• Making contacts with them via phone.
• Being friendly and supportive, attempting to reduce feelings of isolation and trying to enrich lives by introducing them to new experiences
Adults, ages 18 and over, who are interested in reaching out to people who may be experiencing social isolation to facilitate “connection” are invited to participate in this virtual training workshop.
