Christmas Village in Philadelphia is an outdoor Holiday market in Center City Philadelphia situated at LOVE Park on the west side of City Hall. From Thanksgiving through New Year's Day Vendors in over 60 wooden booths and two big tents will sell European food, sweets and drinks. Furthermore they offer a great shopping experience with international seasonal holiday gifts, ornaments, jewelry and high quality arts and crafts. To top off your Christmas shopping you will also find the exclusive Käthe Wohlfahrt tent. The unique atmosphere with thousands of lights, the big Holiday Tree of the City of Philadelphia, the delicious smell of Crepes, gingerbread, Bratwurst and mulled wine will bring you and your family into the perfect Christmas mood.
The municipal Christmas tree which will be lit within a huge ceremony at Dec 4th as well as our unique Christkind-Photo wall and the central stage will be attractions during the Holiday season 2013. The central stage will be the place for daily live performances of local choirs, orchestras and bands. At the weekend after our Sneak Peak on Thursday, Nov 28th the market will be officially inaugurated by the original Christkind from Nuremberg/ Germany in our big opening ceremony on Saturday, Nov 30th. The ensuing Saturdays will be highlighted by special events and amazing performances such as our well known German-American Weekend or our heart-warming LOVE Weekend. Come and experience the real German Christmas market in Center City of Philadelphia that will get you into the right Christmas mood - we LOVE Christmas!
