The Bloc & Street Food Cinema Presents “Wicked” on the Rooftop
The Bloc and Street Food Cinema (SFC), in partnership with Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, is ready to Rewrite the Stars with two movie nights in late summer/early fall of 2025 on The Bloc’s open-air rooftop in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. On Friday, August 16th, audiences are invited to a screening of “The Greatest Showman,” followed by “Wicked” on Friday, September 13th.
Doors will open prior to each movie screening for guests to enjoy a full evening of entertainment, including movie-themed giveaways (courtesy of the Alamo and DTLA Alliance), trivia, and dining provided by Street Food Cinema, as well as the eateries located within The Bloc. Tickets are priced from $13 up to $67 (see details below). Availability is limited for both events; advanced purchase is highly recommended. Chairs will be provided and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each ticket guarantees a seat. Personal chairs and picnic items are not permitted.

Arrive early both nights to enjoy pre-show giveaways—courtesy of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and DTLA Alliance—and put your trivia skills to the test for a chance to win tickets to a screening of Wicked for Good at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema this November. Winners will receive enough tickets for themselves and their immediate family.
Grab a bite at one of The Bloc’s eateries—Marugame Udon, HATCH, District, or JOEY DTLA—or bring your meal up to the rooftop. Additional culinary options and concessions will also be available for purchase on the roof. Stay tuned for special menu offerings! . Coolers, large bags, and outside alcohol are not permitted. A bar will be onsite. You can also enjoy an assortment of tasty beverages before—or after—the screening at Alamo Drafthouse's Video Vortex bar (open until midnight)!
