The Art of Mixology Craft Cocktail Competition with Prizes in Support of the Arts
Saturday, October 19th, 4:30pm - 7:00 pm, 2024 marks Lamorinda Arts Council’s (Council) 11th annual fundraising event, Art of Mixology (Mixology). It is a celebration of craft cocktails and mocktails in the Orinda Theatre Square. With tables set up throughout the Square, local professional and amateur bartenders compete for cash prizes and the honor of being chosen Mixologist of the Year. Help the Council elevate the arts, connect members of the community and spread good cheer. Mixology is the Council's premier fundraising event of the year. It provides crucial support for arts programming curated for local students, adults and seniors. Since 250+ guests are expected, adults 21 and over are invited to join the party now.
Mixologists compete to receive trophies and cash prizes. Awards are given for first, second, and third place, Audience Favorite, and Top Amateur. New this year, those who prefer mocktails can taste craft cocktails with zero alcohol. The playlist for this event is off the charts. The beat goes on and on so a good time is had by all.
Guests and judges sample craft cocktails and vote live onsite to determine who is named Mixologist of the Year and Audience Favorite. Judges award cash prizes to the top three bartenders; the Audience Award winner is determined by popular vote. Attendees must be 21 years of age to participate.
For the Art of Table Staging competition, bartenders vie for an award by meeting the following criteria: matching the theme and mood of their craft cocktail, aesthetics and overall creativity. “Over the top” describes what to expect at each colorful table.

Ticket price includes samples of 18+ craft cocktails and mocktails, generous bites from local restaurants and a souvenir shot glass.
