Fifth Wall Stage Company proudly presents their inaugural musical, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. With music and lyrics by William Finn and a book by Rachael Sheinkin, this humorous and heartfelt musical comedy follows an eclectic group of six quirky adolescents competing in a fictional spelling bee, where they reveal poignant and hilarious details about their complex lives while striving for the championship title. The contest is overseen by offbeat adult officials, features significant audience participation, and ultimately explores themes of victory, self-acceptance, and the shared human experience of longing for approval. Directed by Destiny Mea, music direction by Sara Vespa, and choreography by Brandon D. Gregoire. Featuring a cast of nine performers: Julie Corrales, Lu DeJesus, Alexis DiGiacomo, Charlie Forte, Greg Mahoney, Rae Roqué, Reagan Smith, and Greg Wojcik. The show will perform at the Andrews Memorial Theater in Clinton Town Hall. 54 E. Main Street, Clinton CT 06413. Running October 3 and 4 at 7:00pm, and October 4 and 5 at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door, through our website (link provided), and Venmo (@fifthwallstageco).
