Thanksgiving Dinner for Veterans/Military Families
On Thursday, November 16, 2023, the Veterans Advocacy Group of America (VAGA) will host its 7th Annual Veterans & Military Families Thanksgiving Appreciation Dinner at Bob Hope Patriotic Hall at 1816 South Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA 90015. Doors will open at 1 p.m. to a Veterans Resource Fair. The first of two dinner seatings will be at 2:30 p.m.; the second seating is at 5 p.m.
In attendance will be 500+ Veterans/military family members, guest speakers from the County Department of Military & Veterans Affairs, offices of elected officials (Supervisor Hilda Solis, Representative Nanette Barragan), and Shad Meshad (recently inducted into the Veterans Hall of Fame), the LA RAMS mascot/cheerleaders, Grand Marshal Cece Valencia (Power 106 FM), Estar Entertainment, and sponsors (Skanska, AARP, American Legion Post 283, Optimum Seismic, Revolution National Pest Council, Laborers Local 300, Plumbers Local 78, California Workforce Connection, Foxxtails, Compton Lives Matter, the West LA Employer Advisory Council, Vet Hunters, Omega Burgers), and partners/volunteers from the National Veterans Foundation, Univision, Activision Blizard, Riot Games, Northrop Grumman, and Bank of America.
