Thalea String Quartet - Livingstone Memorial Concert
Top prize-winners at the 2018 Fischoff and Chamber Music Yellow Springs Competitions, the Thalea String Quartet (violinists Christopher Whitley and Kumiko Sakamoto, violist Lauren Spaulding, and cellist Alex Cox) brings a magnetic appeal and creative interpretation to the world of chamber music. Known for their contributions to the body of new chamber works and history of supporting emerging composers, the group embraces the flexibility of approaching music through a modern lens. Premiering their brand-new commissioned work, the Thalea String Quartet strikes a unique balance between old and new compositions in their upcoming program.
