Texas Table: A Feast for A Cause
The Cook's Nook is thrilled to announce the rescheduled date for its annual fundraising dinner, now rebranded as "Texas Table: A Feast for A Cause." Originally titled "A Texas Tale: Stories of Food Resilience, Access, and Equity," this transformed event will take place on February 27, 2024, at the enchanting Lenoir in South Austin.
This distinctive, four-course dinner, inspired by family and Texas traditions, promises an unforgettable culinary experience. Hosted at the renowned Lenoir restaurant in South Austin, the evening begins with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, courtesy of our friends at Antonelli's Cheese Shop, starting at 6p. At 7p, embark on a gastronomic journey with four courses that artfully narrate our chefs' stories, each paired with exquisite wines. Throughout the event, we'll also have the opportunity to learn more about the impactful work of our two highlighted organizations, revel in live music, and engage in a locally curated silent auction. It's an evening of delectable delights, meaningful connections, and shared moments you won't want to miss.
The silent auction is set to dazzle with a diverse array of items and experiences. From exclusive packages curated by local iconic brands to the chance to win a customized dinner experience brought directly to the winner's home, our auction promises something for everyone.
But that's not all! Brace yourself for an exciting Paddles Up, where you'll have the opportunity to make direct contributions to our cause. It's more than an opportunity to bid; it's a chance to take home a piece of the extraordinary while supporting a fantastic cause. Prepare to raise those paddles, explore, bid, and secure unforgettable treasures and experiences.
All proceeds from the event will go towards providing seed dollars directly to two Austin-area nonprofit organizations we are celebrating this year: Black Mamas ATX and Partners for Education, Agriculture & Sustainability (PEAS). These two innovative organizations are working to positively impact the trajectory of Austin-area communities through food and education.
This year's featured chefs are Joi Chevalier, Uyen Pham, Robert Hale, Pavla van Bibber, and Todd Duplechan.
