Texas Author Series featuring Severo Perez
Join the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center for its monthly Texas Author Series. Meet with author and Westside native filmmaker, Severo Perez, who will be reading from his new book “Filmmaker’s Journey.” He will be joined by Dr. Leti Cavazos, along with 5 Cannenta authors, who will also be reading from the collection of stories from “Self-Care for Chingonas.” Light refreshments will be served. Books will be available for purchase and signed by the authors.
If you are a fan of Severo’s work, view his directorial film at CineFestival on Saturday, July 13 at the Alamo Drafthouse Park North. He will be providing a special presentation of …AND THE EARTH DID NOT SWALLOW HIM. The screening commemorates the film’s 30th anniversary with the director in attendance.
