In this class, we'll cover how 3D printing works, where to find free 3D model files online, and how to use PrusaSlicer — free software that prepares your design for printing. By the end, you'll send your very own model to a Prusa 3D printer and watch it come to life. Laptops provided!
What You Will Learn:
How 3D printing works
Where to find free 3D model files (STLs) online
How to use PrusaSlicer to prepare your model for printing
How to send your design to a Prusa 3D printer
How to successfully complete your first 3D print
Upon completion, and with a pay-what-you-can donation to The Foundry, you'll be eligible to use our makerspaces during Open Maker Hours (Mondays 6–9pm & Saturdays 9am–1pm) to continue building your skills and work on personal projects with support from our trained supervisors.

Ages: 16+
Notice: This class needs to meet the minimum enrollment in order to run. Participants will be notified of cancellation the Monday prior to the class if needed. In case of cancellation, participants can choose another scheduled date if available or request a refund.
