This family-friendly walk & 5K at The Navy Yard benefits the Huntington's Disease Society of America and local HD sufferers in the greater Philadelphia area.
Registration Opens: 9AM
Walk Start Time: 10AM
5K Start Time: 10:30AM
The USATF certified 5K route is officially timed and all Team Hope attendees will receive complimentary food, fruit & beverages at the event. Enjoy music by a professional DJ as we picnic on The Marine Parade Grounds' beautiful lawn. Children's activities and a raffle including 2 Southwest Airlines round-trip tickets and spa gift certificates add to the fun. Ample free parking available.
Register at the event or beforehand to receive a special discounted price. Children 10yrs and under are free.
About Huntington's Disease (HD): HD is a rare genetic disorder that deteriorates a person's ability to walk, talk, and even think. 30,000 Americans suffer with HD and another 250,000 are at risk. There is currently no cure for HD or even a way to slow it, but The Huntington's Disease Society of America is working hard to help support HD sufferers and their families in the Philadelphia region.
