Tales of a A Professional Journey in Science - The Importance of Female Mentorship
Join AAUW Pacifica as we feature Dr. Rebecca Chan, a clinically trained scientist and medical expert, who will share her professional journey in science and how women mentoring women has played an important role in her journey. Dr. Chan is the Head of Medical Affairs at Arcellx, a biotechnology company focused on innovative chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapies for blood cancers. As a former Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Medical and Molecular Genetics at the Indiana University School of Medicine, she directed an NIH-funded laboratory studying the molecular mechanisms of specific blood cancers. She also oversaw the training of PhD, MD, combined degree MD/PhD, and post-doctoral students and trainees.
