Book of Revelation Scholar will Provide new Perspective to Help Better Understand Apostle John’s Vision for the Future
Symmes Township-based Sycamore Presbyterian Church will host Shane J. Wood, PhD on November 7-8 as he presents “Simplifying Revelation”. In this latest installment of the Sycamore Speaker Series, Dr. Wood will provide new perspective to help us better understand Apostle John’s vision for the future.
A graduate of the University of Edinburgh, Dr. Wood is a professor of New Testament and Its Origins at Ozark Christian College, a worldwide speaker and author of several books and texts on Revelation.
Friday’s Day #1 session, titled Simplifying Revelation - The Big Picture, will occur Nov. 7 from 7-9 p.m. during which Dr. Wood will present how the Bible as a whole relates to us today and provide perspective how Revelation completes scripture.
Session #2 on Saturday Nov. 8 is from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., Dr. Wood will simplify the Book of Revelation by guiding the audience step-by-step through the proper tools to engage with the text. He will address questions such as: “What is prophecy?”, “What do we do with the Mark of the Beast?”, and “What about the rapture?”.
