Swords & More: Historical Weapons and Armor Demonstration
Swords, and daggers, and poleaxes, oh my! Come watch as our friends from Laurel City Historical Fencing explain how the past can be fun in the present. Step into the world of knights and armor to get a glimpse of how medieval weapons were used, learn weapon techniques, and watch how to properly arm a knight. Think this stuff is relegated to the past, and there's no way you can be a knight in shining armor today? Think again! We'll discuss how historical sword fighting manuscripts are used today to practice HEMA, or Historical European Martial Arts.
About Laurel City Fencing
Laurel City Historical Fencing is a Medieval martial arts training group in Winsted in the northwest corner of Connecticut. LCHF's primary focus is on the German "Liechtenauer" School of Medieval Combat.
