SURGE: Extended Edition - As If! It's 1996 Again!
On Sunday, February 25, a special extended edition of SURGE returns to the Rooftop from 12-7pm. SURGE: As if! It’s 1996 again! Is bringing all the top pop culture from 1996 back for one fun party!
Did you know that the 2024 calendar is exactly the same as in 1996? Kind of cool if you still have your Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Clueless or Spice Girls calendars from then!
Join hosts drag performers Ninny Nothin’, Danuel Duel and special guests for the extended SURGE LGBTQ+ Tea Dance inside the Rooftop’s fully-enclosed and heated lodge. The Rooftop is kicking of SURGE early in February so that anyone attending the Big! Big! Drag Brunch in the Ballroom at the G can head directly upstairs after brunch to dance the afternoon away!
Enjoy music by DJ Jake all-day long. (We can guess there will be a little No Doubt, Spice Girls, Snoop Doggy Dog and Mariah Carey playing throughout the day!) Plus, at 6pm there will be a special drag performance.
For February, SURGE will be supporting AIDS Care Ocean State as it’s charity of the month accepting open donations and a hosting a raffle for the chance to win multiple items.
So bust out your favorite 90's designer brands (Diesel, Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabanna), neon track suits, jumpers and rompers, or dress like Armand and Albert in The Birdcage, and SURGE on the Rooftop like it’s 1996 again!

Surge is open to the public. 18 to enter, 21 to drink. No Cover and complimentary valet parking.
