Super Scientists Weekend!

Grab your party hats and join us in celebrating the birthdays of three super scientists! In honor of the February birthdays of Thomas Edison (Feb. 11), Charles Darwin (Feb. 12), and Galileo Galilei (Feb. 15), experiment, explore, and immerse yourself in the teachings of some of the world’s most influential scientists - and spark your own scientific inspiration! Hands-on activities include: Investigating plasma Building an electrical circuit Experimenting with camouflage Challenging your friends to the “Battle of the Beaks” Exploring the sky with a telescope Testing yourself in engineering Inventing your own prototype And becoming a super scientist! Also, check out our recently-renovated first edition of Darwin’s On the Origin of Species that will be on display! BONUS! To celebrate the International Day for Women and Girls in Science (Feb. 11), guests can participate in our women scientists scavenger hunt! As you explore the museum, we invite you to discover prolific women scientists and learn about the critical contributions they have, or are currently making, in STEAM-related fields.
