Sunset Yoga & Sound Healing
Join us for an hour of relaxing hatha yoga accompanied by the soothing sounds of crystal bowls infused with reiki energy as the sun sets on Service Club Beach, in Venice, FL!
Bring your own large towel or something to practice yoga on. Hatha yoga focuses on posture and breathing techniques and this class is open to everyone. Great for beginners and experienced yogis! There is no registration, just show up and grab a spot on the sand. We are usually over on the left side of the beach.
Class is $10-$20 per person. We accept cash or Venmo. Pay what you can within that $10-$20 range. This class would be $30 for a studio yoga class with live sound healing during the entire class (and ours includes the bonus of a sunset!). Your payment helps us pay for the permit required by Sarasota County for us to use the public beach and the remainder is split between the yoga teacher and the musician who plays the crystal singing bowls.
The evening is hosted by Yoga Instructor, Cassandra Nicole Heggan from Yoga with Cassandra and Sound Healer & Reiki Master, Sharon Lesko from Sound Alternative.
As a reiki practitioner, Sharon infuses the area with reiki energy for everyone attending. In addition to the Sound Healing, Reiki energy helps restore the flow of energy throughout the body, by opening up our energy pathways so they can function optimally and further promote wellness by reducing stress and improving overall well-being.
We typically host this event every Wednesday about an hour before sunset so be sure to “Like” our Sound Alternative and Yoga with Cassandra social media pages to view the updated times or follow the details on our Sound-Alternative.com website calendar to know when the start time changes with the sunset times.
We’ll always try to announce through the FaceBook event about 45-30 minutes before if we have to cancel due to the weather so be sure to "Like" our page and choose the option you are “Going” if you want to receive the FB updates from the event.
