Summer Saturdays at Heartwood Preserve: The Nightmare Before Christmas Outdoor Movie
While the movie starts at 8:30 p.m., visitors are welcome to come early and enjoy lawn games, music, an inflatable obstacle course and food trucks that include La Gaviota, The Big Sno and Cornhusker Beverage Bar.
Bring a low chair or blanket to claim your spot. The restaurants at Heartwood Preserve also offer takeout to be enjoyed at the park during the film.
Heartwood Park, Omaha’s newest outdoor community gathering space within Heartwood Preserve, is the go-to destination for family and friends every weekend this summer. From June to August, Summer Saturdays will have a rotating schedule featuring outdoor movies, silent discos and concerts to go along with food trucks and lawn games.
To make visits more enjoyable, the Heartwood Park Ambassador program offers visitors amenities to borrow on-site, including picnic blankets, board games, lawn games and sports gear for all to enjoy. Amenities will be available from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays.
