Visit The Collection on Palmetto on Saturday, May 31st for our Summer of Steam 2025 Kick Off! In addition to our usual exhibits and displays, we will be firing up a Stanley steam car and giving rides all day!
Participate in live steam demonstrations with our model engines and steam locomotive. Blow a steam whistle and shovel coal into a boiler. Plus, our miniature train offers even more fun for the whole family.
Plan on spending a morning or afternoon at the museum that has been called a "Hidden Gem" of automobile museums, right here in Clearwater. At The Collection on Palmetto, you can always learn about the fascinating development of early automobiles and how that industry grew our nation, and at Summer of Steam on Saturday, May 31st, you can celebrate all things steam with us! Fun steam fact 1: One gallon of water gets you a mile down the road in a Stanley. Fun steam fact 2: You don't drive a Stanley, you operate it! Fun steam fact 3: Hero of Alexandria created the first steam turbine in the first century BCE.
