Summer Fling for Summer Matters

Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 7:00 PM the Emelin Theater is throwing a concert with a purpose. The historic theater will come alive with the sounds of two hometown-favorite bands to make sure every child in our community has access to a joyful, enriching summer. Get ready for a mid-winter burst of sunshine as Summer Fling and The Wild Life take the stage for the Summer Fling for Summer Matters Benefit Concert, an evening packed with energy, community spirit, and serious musical talent. Fresh off a huge appearance at the Elements Music Festival, Summer Fling brings its signature high-energy jazz-rock sound back home. The band, composed of several Mamaroneck High School grads, is known for electrifying performances and musicianship that blends skill, soul, and sheer fun. Sharing the bill is The Wild Life, fronted by beloved local singer-songwriter Nicole Alifante, whose Americana-driven mix of rock, pop, folk, and country never fails to light up a room. The night will raise critical funds for The STEM Alliance's $1.5 million Summer Matters campaign, which expands access to summer programs with STEM enrichment for children and families with financial need. The event carries special meaning for the performers— both Eddie Kam of Summer Fling and Nicole Alifante of The Wild Life served as educators at The STEM Alliance’s Co-Op Summer Enrichment program. They know just how transformative a summer of learning and exploration can be, and they’re hitting the stage to make that experience possible for more kids.
