Get a FREE bike helmet (while supplies last) and learn more about preventing head injuries. Learn about the importance of seat belts with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Seat Belt convincer. Meet the most amazing health and safety advocates Indiana has to offer. Watch breath taking demonstrations from Law enforcement officers and Firefighters. Learn more about water safety and outdoor fun from Indiana Dept. of Natural Resource Officer. Don’t forget to check out the Stat Flight Medical Helicopter and their fabulous medical crews.
Sugar Creek Twp. Firefighters are “Going Gold” to help fight childhood cancer during the month of September. Our firefighters will wear navy and gold duty shirts in support of children who are fighting cancer. We will be holding several fundraising efforts as well. During this year’s Fire Prevention and Life Safety Open House we will have a friendly competitive eating contest between Firefighters and Law Enforcement officers sponsored by Smokin Barrel Restaurant. We will have a dunk tank at this event and provide the opportunity to dunk some of our favorite officials. All proceeds benefit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants in the U.S. Their mission is to fund the most promising research to give kids with cancer long and healthy lives.
