Style Social and Fashion Designer Launch Party

Showroom International and the Bel Esprit Showroom and Philadelphia Fashion Incubator at Macy's Center City for a fashion event at The Transfer Station on February 12, 2014. The Designers in Residence at the Macy's Center City incubator will debut their collections alongside international fashion designers of Showroom International and Bel Esprit. The event is being hosted by The Transfer Station, an architectural and entrepreneurial project combining co-working, co-retail, co-learning and co-creation within a complete ecosystem designed to attract, develop and graduate innovators and revitalize the Manayunk retail and destination scene. Already home to local artists and furniture and lifestyle designers, the Transfer Station is welcoming local and international designers for an evening of style, art and sustainability.

The event will open to press, buyers and industry attendees at 4:00 pm for an exclusive look at the collections. The doors will open to the public at 6:30 pm, kicking off with a unique, live model presentation and the launch party will officially open at 7:00 pm. The event will integrate the talent and creativity of The Transfer Station resident contributors of fine art, home decor and hand-crafted furniture complementing the innovative, contemporary displays of the fashion designers, with select items available for sale. Manayunk restaurants Bourbon Blue and The Couch Tomato Cafe & The Tomato Bistro will offer their signature snacks. The evening promises the best of local design talent and celebrates the success of the 2014 Designer in Residence graduates as they take their place in the international fashion community.
