STAGE FRIGHT: A Book Release Party for Wendy Parris at The Book Stall
The Book Stall (811 Elm Street in Winnetka) is thrilled to host Wendy Parris for a book release party celebrating "Stage Fright," her new locked room novel for young readers. Kirkus calls this middle-grade novel "A fast-paced, spooky tale exploring adolescent tumult and the uncertainty that comes with change." The title is perfect for kids ages 8 to 12 who like their books scary!

More About the Author: Wendy Parris grew up loving books and hoping, but failing, to see a ghost. After graduating from Northwestern University, she acted in small Chicago storefront theaters, performed improv comedy, and worked in public relations. Now she writes spooky books for teens and tweens. She lives with her family near Chicago in an old house that is probably not haunted. Her debut novel, "Field of Screams," was a 2023 Junior Library Gold Star Standard Selection.
