Matron “Mama” Morton (Branigan Reed) is new to Stage 284 and is bringing a dream role to life: “For me, working on this production has been an amazing re-entry into the theater world. I've been able to bring one of my "bucket list" roles to life, and work with an incredible group of creative and talented rock stars. I'm so grateful and excited to share our hard work!” At the heart of Chicago is Bob Fosse. This dance style is challenging but cast member Mark Zick (Emcee/Fred) is excited to be back on the dance floor: “The chance to dance again has awakened a sleeping desire inside of me. It's been almost 10 years since my knee injury and I didn't think I'd be able to perform as I could before. Being the Emcee as well as Fred has created an interesting challenge that I'm eager to show to everyone how I've gone about it. The talent in this show is truly inspiring and I can't wait to have my chance to shine alongside them.” Stage 284 prides itself on being a space for all theater lovers, goers, and creators. Allie Smail (U/S Roxie Hart) has been a part of the 284 family for many years but describes this cast and crew as one of her favorites: “Working on Chicago at Stage 284 is the most magical experience. I have never bonded with an ensemble so quickly before.
