The 4th Annual Spruce Pine Alien Festival lands in downtown Spruce Pine on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. This free, family-friendly celebration brings together UFO enthusiasts, sci-fi fans and curious visitors for a full day of extraterrestrial fun. Oak Avenue will become a galactic marketplace filled with alien-themed vendors, crafts and “out-of-this-world” food.
Live music will fill the streets with performances by Toe River Bandits, Greystoke and Black Feather on the Milky Way Music Stage. At noon, the Area 51 Costume Contest invites kids, adults, and pets to show off their best alien looks for a chance to win prizes. The Sky Tribe UFOXPO at the Cross Street Commerce Center will host speakers including Ancient Aliens’ Mike Bara, Brittany Barbieri, Thom Reed and Brooks Agnew, discussing recent UFO sightings and government disclosures.
Families can explore the Close Encounter Zone, with bounce houses, giant slides, a gem mining station and the Alien Train ride. As Spruce Pine continues to recover from Hurricane Helene, this year’s festival is not only a fun, themed experience, it’s also a celebration of resilience and a boost for the local economy.
Admission is free, though some activities may require tickets. For schedules, lodging and more, visit sprucepinealienfestival.com or contact [email protected] / (828) 688-1148.
