About Spring Gear Grab
Whether you’re a seasoned outdoorsperson or just starting your journey with The Mountaineers, you won’t want to miss our Spring Gear Grab happening at the Seattle Program Center on June 9, 2025 from 6:30-8:30pm.
This beloved community event is open to both Mountaineers members and non-members and is the perfect chance to buy or sell gently used outdoor gear. From hiking boots to harnesses, tents to technical layers, you might find exactly what you’re looking for - or something you didn’t know you needed. Either way, it’s a fun and affordable way to stock up on gear while connecting with fellow outdoor enthusiasts.

Fill out our seller sign-up form and review our seller guidelines. Seller setup begins at 6:00pm.
Meet the Gear Library at Gear Grab
The Mountaineers Gear Library will have a table at the Gear Grab, so stop by to learn about this incredible resource and how you can get involved. The Gear Library provides affordable access to outdoor gear for Mountaineers members, youth, families, schools, and community organizations - and they’re currently looking for both volunteers and gear donations. Come chat with the Gear Library team, donate gear, or sign up to volunteer. It’s a great way to support equitable access to the outdoors while making space in your gear closet!
Parking and Transportation
Parking is abundant and free at our Seattle Program Center. We also have bike racks, and bus #75 stops right out front our building. Please note that we advise against leaving valuables in your car in Magnuson Park.

The Mountaineers is a nonprofit outdoor community of 16,000 active members in the PNW. Since 1906, we've been getting people of all ages outside safely and responsibly. We host hundreds of volunteer-led monthly courses and activities to offer ways to get outside and connect with others and the natural world.
