Spring City Corner Clubhouse, right in downtown Waukesha, has been meeting the needs of adult Waukesha residents with mental health challenges since 2000, with a special focus on social events and part-time employment programs. Under the auspices of Lutheran Social Services and as part of an international association of over 300 clubhouses, SCCC offers a variety of weekly events for members, including luncheons, health fairs, craft activities, and personal skills training groups such as meditation. They also provide training and supports for part-time work for interested members. To join the Clubhouse, you must be a Waukesha County resident and 18 years of age or older with a verified primary diagnosis of major mental illness. The SCCC does not require applicants to provide any income or insurance information: our doors are open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. We hope to grow the number of members substantially as we head into our 25th year. And in celebration of this milestone anniversary, we will be hosting a picnic for all of our members in Frame Park on September 12th from 1-5 p.m. We invite interested Waukesha residents to come meet our staff and members.
