Sports Fundamentals Lab


Sports Fundamentals Lab is a structured movement class designed to build the core skills every young athlete needs as they grow and begin to specialize in sports. In this class, children rotate through thoughtfully planned circuits that focus on fundamental athletic development, including basic footwork, agility, strength building, stamina, endurance, and coordination. Obstacle courses and movement challenges keep learning engaging while reinforcing proper body control and confidence. Throughout the program, children are introduced to age-appropriate concepts of anatomy, nutrition, and physical care. We talk about how muscles and bones support movement, why warming up and cooling down are important, how rest and hydration help the body recover, and how healthy food choices fuel strong, active bodies. These conversations are simple, positive, and designed to help children build lifelong awareness of caring for their bodies. Teamwork and positive sportsmanship are emphasized in every class. Children practice following instructions, working alongside peers, and working through challenges in a supportive environment that builds both physical ability and confidence. This class is ideal for children who are becoming more serious about sports participation and benefit from a strong foundation that supports success across a wide range of athletic activities, including team sports, gymnastics, martial arts, and more.
