SPOOKY! Native Plant Nursery Workday
Join us on Wednesday, October 29th from 9AM-12PM at the Solano County Water Agency native plant nursery for a Halloween-themed workday! This is a collaborative project between Putah Creek Council and the Solano County Water Agency.
This workday will open with “scary stories” about common invasive plant species in the Putah Creek Watershed. Afterwards, we will continue with normal plant propagation activities, such as transplanting, seeding, weeding, etc. Guests are welcome to come dressed in nursery-appropriate costumes (close-toed shoes, family-friendly, willing to get dirty), but are not required!
All necessary equipment, water, and snacks will be provided. No previous experience is necessary! Children under the age of 15 are required to have an adult accompany them. Registration is highly recommended– to receive detailed directions to the location and any important updates.
All attendees must sign a waiver before participating in this event. Participants under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian. You can either sign a physical copy upon arrival, or sign our e-waiver on our website. Please note that you will receive a confirmation email that you have to click on for the e-waiver to be officially submitted.
