Speaker Series: Chronic Wasting Disease in New Mexico
Chronic Wasting Disease, a contagious neurological disease that affects deer, elk and moose, was first discovered in New Mexico in the foothills of the Organ Mountains, near Las Cruces. Since then, it has also been found in the Sacramento Mountains. Dr. Crockett will provide an update on the current status of Chronic Wasting Disease among wildlife populations in New Mexico.
