Sons of Ring Shout is the revival of the band Ring Shout & Friends. The original Ring Shout, founded by George Bailey, took a new perspective on classic jazz tunes, adding African rhythms and rock sensibilities. The Covid pandemic paused their creative efforts and gig schedule and it members went off in other directions. But in late 2024 four original members reunited, along with two other long time musical collaborators, to revive the unique sounds of the original band. This new band calls itself the Sons of Ring Shout. The current band still delivers rock oriented takes on classic jazz songs, but has added some classic funk and R&B tunes plus a number of original songs. This creative mix is infused with high energy improvisation and danceable rhythms! The Sons of Ring Shout will create a party wherever they perform!
