The debut performance of Connecticut based string and piano trio of SONORO to The Packing House stage! This trio of piano, violin, and cello are part of the musical ensemble, SONORO, formed in 2019 by composer and pianist Sharon Ruchman. They will be performing original compositions of classically-based blues, jazz, and Latin. The blend of styles offers an escape from the monoculture of formulaic musical genre boundaries, thrusting the listener into a world without rules, only exploration and innovation.
SONORO’s music is stretching boundaries of contemporary rhythms, creating a unique musical blend that showcases the personalities and talents of its highly skilled, accomplished musicians. Join us for an evening of unique acoustic sounds and original compositions by these classically trained artists!
