Sonora Winds performs Arrangements and Transcriptions, March 4, 2026 at Catalina HS, 3645 E Pima St.
Sonora Winds, a multi-generational wind band, under the direction of Clif Weston, will perform music that has been arranged or transcribed from other ensembles. Sway to melodies from "The Phantom of the Opera" by Andrew Lloyd Webber, march to "Galop" by Shostakovich taken from his musical comedy, "Moscow, Cheremushky." Feel the spirit of a fiesta with Clifton Williams' "Symphonic Dance No. 3, Fiesta." And our very own, Bob Atwell arranged "Capriol" by Peter Warlock, a multi-movement piece that recalls the Renaissance.
