Songs about Sick, Old, and Crazy People, THE 45th ANNUAL EVE OF THE SUPER BOWL CONCERT
Featuring Emma and Robert of the Crossings Band, Chris Edwards, H.K. Hilner, the Pittsburgh debut of The Lexington Talley Trio, and special guests TBA.
This will be a family-friendly show, and performers will self-expurgate their material (if necessary) for the benefit of young ears. This is going to be kind of like going to a movie or a play inasmuch as you should arrive before the show begins, stay till it ends, and refrain from talking and carrying on while the music is playing. There will be an AA meeting in a room downstairs, and its participants may be joining us, so IF you were to bring a little something spiked to drink, please keep it to yourself.
Yes, it will have been 45 years since John Creighton and I sat in a booth at the Squirrel Hill Cafe on the eve of the Super Bowl and decided to start a band, NO SHELTER. I’ll open the show with some of the songs we played at our first show at PHASE III, we’ll have some special guests, and we’ll close with a full-band set.
